Off-duty police captain opened fire at a supermarket in southern Moscow this morning, killing at least three people and wounding six.
"During the night, Denis Yevsyukov quarreled with his wife and had a nervous breakdown," said a city police spokesman.
He said he went on a shooting rampage at the store, spraying bullets randomly at passers-by to first return to the house to replace the police uniform.

The details of those who died were not available, but the Russian news agency Interfax reported that four people hospitalized with head injuries and aged between 19 and 23
Mr. Yevsyukov has risen rapidly through the ranks after joining the force in 2005. He has solved dozens of serious crimes as a detective and has won promotion based on records of exemplary work.
Colleagues reported that he had complained about problems at work lately.
